Potential Side Effects of Acarbose
It is fairly common for patients to experience gastrointestinal issues when taking Acarbose. Diarrhea, gas, bloating, or abdominal pain may occur as your body adjusts to this medication during the first few weeks. To lessen this discomfort, avoid excessive carbohydrates during the first week of treatment. These side effects usually lessen with time, usually within 2-3 months.
Note: Promptly contact a Healthspan physician if any unexpected symptoms or side effects occur.
